A bat used in the game of baseball is nothing but a smooth rod made out of metal or wood and is used to hit the ball thrown by the pitcher. Baseball bats are available in an array of sizes, models and options. However, all bats weigh no more than one kilo gram. In addition, the length of the bat is no more than 40 inches and the width being no more than 2.75 inches at its thickest part.

• Bamboo bats – Bamboo bats are gaining extreme popularity. They are eco-friendly, durable and lightweight. However, they are yet to be recognized by the professional leagues.
